Self Study 4 - 2

Game Concept Ideas

1. "Roped In", A coop physics game in which the players must band together to complete puzzles in a 3d puzzle game. The twist is each player is tethered together with a bungee cord, this would play like similar coop physics based games like human: fall flat, or gang beasts. Each player would work together to finish the puzzle with hopefully, considerable difficulty. I'd imagine prototype would definitely have to focus on perfecting the main mechanic, even without a fully fleshed-out puzzle room. This game I could definitely be played by all ages, simple enough for the younger ages but with enough fun game-play for anyone to enjoy.

2. A detective mystery game in which a dank scoundrel unravels a conspiracy theory, in this 3d adventure game the player will act out several smaller mini-games. Mini-games such as pinning newspaper clippings to a chalk board or stalking a lowlife through an alley. Development for this game would definitely focus on quantity over quality, like games such as 'Wario Ware' or 'Mario Party' this game would depend on quick fast paced mini-puzzle games. The demographic for this game would be the adult crowd who still enjoy party games.

3. Intertwined, another physics coop game in which the players control a single being, depending on the amount of players the human body is split up between them. The players will struggle through completing daily tasks, cooking, eating and making their way through their daily routine. I'd imagine this game would play similarly to 'Getting Over it' or 'Manuel Samuel'. This game is made for short-bursts of game play in the players downtime, a fun coop game to play while waiting for a class to start or a bus to come.
